CPT Group Adaptation Workshop, September 22, 2022, 10:00am to 5:45pm Eastern

If you will not be attending the CPT for PTSD Foundational training (September 19-21, 2022), attendance at a prior CPT Foundational training is required to register for the Group Adaptation training day.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD is a recommended first line therapy in current treatment guidelines world-wide. This 1-day workshop builds on CPT Foundational training, teaching participants how to deliver CPT in a group setting. In addition to discussing the research base supporting group delivery of CPT, participants will receive instruction on elements ranging from assessing patient suitability and considerations for group composition to ways to effectively engage trauma processing in a group setting. A session-by-session review of the protocol and video-recorded examples will serve to highlight considerations when working with group-delivery CPT. Please note that this group workshop builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in the Foundational CPT training. Thus, attendance of the 3 half-day workshop that immediately precedes this workshop, or attendance at a prior CPT Foundational workshop is required to register.

This workshop is suitable for healthcare practitioners and trainees in psychology, social work, nursing, counselling, medicine, and related fields.

Course materials: Participants are encouraged to read the latest version of the CPT manual prior to attending the workshop, available at Guilford Press here

Consultation:  Opportunity for additional learning via post-workshop consultation will be discussed during the training, including information related to achieving CPT Provider status. For details about structure and cost, please click here.
